Welcome to the Bay Boat Club Website!
We are a public club that provides small boat launching facilities to our members in Bay Village, Ohio. The club is open to any Bay Village resident who owns a boat.
Special Notices
Dear Members:
Swimmers have prevented boaters from retrieving and launching their boats safely; teens have gathered at the dock and pavilion and have harassed boaters; there was an attempted arson. No vehicles or trailers have been touched.
Although these are isolated incidents, your family's safety and a pleasurable boatmg expenence are our top concerns. We have a safe record and intend to keep it that way.
Your board of trustees has been working hard to prevent problems in the future, including posting signs and adding more cameras, all with full support of the Chief of Police and the Mayor. They have agreed to increase Bay Police presence and response.
The ramp, garage, clubhouse and pavilion are property of the Bay Boat Club and are for members use first.
The Chief of Police has requested that any member who sees an unsafe or harassing situation down at the Boat Club call their non-emergency number (440-871-1234) immediately.
Remember, all boaters and guests are expected to observe the club rules without exception.
Thank you for your co-operation and have a safe and pleasant summer of boating. Call or email if you have a question or comment.
In addition, there is no alcohol permitted on BBC grounds and we are not allowed to use the club facilities on Sundays.
As a reminder, here is an exerpt from Artical VII of the Operating Rules:
"A member may be suspended or expelled as a result of willful violation of Bay Boat Club operation rules or these regulations. This action requires the vote of two thirds of the Board of Trustees, meeting with a quorum and no adjustment in dues, fees or assessments will result. The member will have the right to petition the Board for reinstatement if he can demonstrate mitigating circumstances."
